“The only way to create good products is to ensure ecological production processes and a pleasant working environment.” Following this guiding principle of its founder Karl Zünd, Zünd Systemtechnik AG commissioned the construction of a production building at its headoffice in Altstätten, St. Gallen. This is the third extension to the original building and is attracting interest well beyond the Swiss border. It is the first industrial building in Switzerland to comply with the Minergie-P standard. In other words, it consumes five times less energy than a conventional new build and emits five times less CO2. Griesser’s automatic solar shading system has helped it achieve this impressive result.
