Griesser presents the world's first sustainable awning fabric collection

The Collection Emotion not only scores in terms of sustainability. The fabric also meets the highest standards of quality and design.

Griesser presents the Collection Emotion with 50 different designs ranging from timeless to creative. A selection of fabrics from the modern basics blue® collection sets completely new standards in terms of sustainability: the fabric consists of 85 percent recycled PET. The production process also uses 90 percent less water than traditional dyeing, 60 percent less energy and 45 percent less carbon dioxide.

The entire Collection Emotion is certified according to the OEKO-TEX® Standard 100, which means it is free of any substances that are harmful to health or the environment. But that's not all: the fabric also impresses with its quality and colour brilliance. Even when exposed to strong sunlight, the fabrics remain colourfast, tear-resistant and resistant to dirt and water. The non-transparent fabrics also provide reliable UV protection.

"We are proud to be able to offer the world's first awning fabrics made from recycled PET," says CEO Urs Neuhauser. "Griesser attaches great importance to the ecologically sensible use of resources. We are therefore delighted to have another addition that fits in perfectly with our company."

The sustainable modern basics blue® fabric collection was developed by the company's subsidiary weinor in collaboration with Parà from Italy - a leading fabric manufacturer with many years of technical expertise.

The modern basics blue® collection of sustainable awning fabrics has already won seven awards, including the Red Dot Award and the iF Design Award. The collection also won the special sustainability prize at the R+T Innovation Awards and was a finalist for the German Sustainability Award Design.
